Fifth Grade

Welcome to Fifth Grade

In fifth grade at MES we change classes. Each child has a homeroom teacher and rotates for ELA/ SS, Science and Math. They are tested in 3 subjects (usually it is just 2) and will include Math, ELA & Science. Each classroom has a set of laptops for the students to use and we incorporate technology daily. They use planners to write down assignments on their own and use binders for each class. We foster a great amount of responsibility in our level. We teach and stress the importance of organization and study skills, also. This is a big growing year for all of our students!
