Welcome to Pre-K

Manteo Elementary Pre-K is a warm, inviting first-school experience with a highly qualified staff dedicated to the youngest of learners.  We hold the highest rating (five star) as a part of our licensing requirement.  Pre-school is where your child’s educational journey begins.  Our classrooms are set up with learning centers which include a variety of activities sure to appeal to most four and five-year-olds.  It is here that they learn to become a member of a group which affords them opportunities to share and cooperate as well as problem solve and forge friendships.  The children learn to express themselves creatively through art, music, and movement.  Several times throughout the year we take field trips to enhance learning experiences.  In Pre-K, we introduce students to letter names and sounds, numbers, sets, and more.  We look forward to meeting you and your child.
