Third Grade

Welcome to Third Grade

Third grade is a transitional year for students.  Along with becoming more independent, it is the first year for grades and standardized testing. 

One of our goals is to make sure that students are reading at an appropriate level by the end of third grade. We have several ways that we will support your child as they meet that goal. 

In math, students will continue to build their concepts of numbers as well as develop an understanding of fractions as numbers. Students will also develop in depth concepts of multiplication and division and will practice applying these concepts alongside problem-solving skills and strategies.  

Teachers work closely with parents and use a variety of tools to show evidence of growth.
